I told ya it'd be less than six weeks!
This weekend was baby girl's first birthday party. We had friends and food and cake and baloons and fun at the park on Saturday. The shrimp ring was a hit (note to self: shrimp ring at all future parties). And while I was so happy to be celebrating the birth of my little one, I also was a little bit emotional at the thought that she's growing so quickly and it won't be long before she's as big as Owen is and then is bigger and then is all grown up and moving somewhere and doing her own thing and I'll be the mom of a woman. She's not walking by herself yet, though, so it's not like I'm crying myself a river over here. She's definitely still my baby.
The weather here has been gorgeous. Sixties and seventies, breezy, very springish. We've been getting outside a lot more as a result.
I installed a new chandelier in my office and it is beautiful!
My cousin Amy delivered a son this morning, Andrew Peter. He weighed 7 pounds 13 oz and measured 21 inches. Congratulations, Amy, Pete, & Andrew on a job well done!
My sister's having a boy also - they moved her due date to July 22 from July 15. My niece recently burned her hand on the stove and has a gnarly blister on her palm, the poor thing.
My mom's house renovations are cruising right along at a typical Florida driver's pace. I'm talking *Sunday* driver. But it will get done eventually. As my favorite author declared, everything's eventual.
